In collaboration with Macleay Island Resident Association, Lamb Island Resident Association, and Karragarra Island Ratepayers Association, the Southern Moreton Bay Islands Chamber of Commerce has released a summary of key challenges experienced by the Islands and, more importantly, practical recommendations on how to work to address these. The paper has involved extensive discussions over a nine-month period. The paper has been circulated to all Federal, State and Local Government elected representatives and announced candidates for the 2024 Local and State Government elections. While not an exhaustive list of issues, it is a starting point for dialogue on how the Islands can be improved for local residents and businesses.
