We have been seeing formative works for the multistorey carpark in the Weinam Creek Priority Development Area (PDA). This has included roadworks, additional temporary parking and construction of the northern section of the Moreton Bay Cycleway.
I also moved a motion in council (supported by seven of the eleven councillors to work with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) to fast track the new multistorey carpark.
We are also seeing the commencement of private residential developments in the area. One such development is the ‘Bella Bella’ or ‘Breeze’ apartments on the corner of Hamilton and Banana St. This will be an eight storey development with 17 apartments and 31 onsite parking spaces for residents and visitors.
You can take a peek at what Bella Bella will look like through the development application available on the EDQ website, a copy is attached. Importantly, as indicated in these plans new residential developments include adequate off-street resident and visitor parking.
Note the shopping centre development indicated in the map attached to the development application of this site is not proceeding.
